What Are The Costs of Probate in San Diego?
A total of about five percent (5%) of your estate is paid to your attorney and executor for their services. In addition to the compensation paid to the attorney and executor, the Court fees can amount to between $1,500 ‑ $2,500. Probate is a courtsupervised procedure for validating a will (if there is one), paying debts, and distributing the property of a deceased person. The procedure lasts about one year.
